‘Darndale Together After Dark’ brings fright and fun to community

Darndale’s biggest and best ever Halloween family event brought fright, fun and colour to the area.

‘Darndale Together After Dark,’ presented by Darndale Together and supported by Creative Places Darndale, was held at the Darndale Belcamp Village Centre and was a celebration for all the family, with activities and attractions for all ages.

Darndale Together is a community focused initiative of Dublin City Council for the area.

‘Darndale Together After Dark,’ took place on Bank Holiday Monday, October 31, with the event following four weeks of lantern making at local primary school, Our Lady Immaculate, and at local youth service providers Sphere 17, and The Dales.

Events included a lantern procession; fireworks display and performances by local and national artists and musicians while there were fairground attractions and fancy dress galore which only added to the enjoyment for all in attendance.

“This was a wonderful opportunity for families to have a super time at Halloween,” said Dr Jack Nolan, chair of the Darndale Implementation Oversight group.

“‘Darndale Together After Dark’ promoted the area in a wonderfully positive light, as well as bringing great fun and colour.”
